Student Led Voter Registration Drive

On October 1, 2008 students organized and conducted a voters registration drive. As dinner was served, those who attended had the opportunity to listen to Rebecca George, the director of Native Vote Washington and Craig Bill a representative from Governor Gregoire’s office. Both speakers touched on the importance of making the Native voice heard and the influence that the Native population can have on an election. Voter registration took place not only at the dinner but on campus and through a door to door campaign. Thanks to our students and concerned citizens everywhere America is ready for a change that we can believe in.
