Give Thanks and Eat Community Dinner A Success!
The idea of sharing a dinner with family and friends is what thanksgiving is all about right? In Indian country there is some tension around Thanksgiving and for good reason but nothing can undermine the feeling of family and community. The Center for Service Learning, Student Executive Board, and the athletic teams came together to put on a community wide dinner! Donations were made and NWIC staff, faculty, and students volunteered their time to prepare and serve a delicious meal. There was an excellent turnout and those in attendance were very appreciative.
