Presentation on Indigenous Evaluation
The four PowerPoint presentations listed below focus on the Indigenous Evaluation framework. They are from a January 2010 conference put on by the American Indian College Fund for the Woksape Oyate (Wisdom of the People) project that supports NWIC’s Teaching and Learning Initiative.
The goal of the conference was to provide people from Tribal Colleges who have Woksape Oyate grants with an understanding of the Indigenous Evaluation framework that they can use to evaluate their individual projects. You may find the presentations useful for understanding Indigenous Evaluation and applying it to other projects.
The first of the four presentation listed below will probably be the most useful as it is an overview of the framework for the Indigenous Evaluation process. The other three presentations focus on specific aspects of the framework. The second presentation goes into more detail about measuring outcomes. The third is on how to use qualitative data in assessing the project. The last one is specifically about writing the Woksape Oyate report, which may give you some generally useful ideas for writing reports for other projects.
