Kwenanget-otel – "Helping One Another"

Created by the NWIC Center for Service Learning

Talia is off to WWU…she’ll be missed!

The Center for Service Learning is proud to announce that one of our highly valued student mentors has been accepted to Western Washington University and will be starting her studies winter quarter! It is with great joy that we watch Talia London leave NWIC and embark on her educational journey!

Some staff members have had the opportunity to spend more time with this exceptional young woman. I have only known Talia for a short time but in that time I have come to respect her as a friend, student, co-worker, and an exceptional person. It is with complete confidence that I watch Talia continue her journey through education, knowing that she will reach her goals. Talia, I have really enjoyed working with you and once again, congratulations I know you will be amazing!-Michelle Gladstone

Dear Talia,

I am pretty sure we can agree this quarter was a blast! I know that we will be seeing each other around (you’re my best friend that’s why), and throughout our educational journey we will definitely cross paths. We have a lot in common, our ideas seem endless, once we start something: first- we see the vision, then- create the reality, and I am super excited for our project ideas we have in mind for 2009. So as you are graduating NWIC, leaving the Center for Service Learning, and transferring to Western Washington University. I wish you the best in your education, look forward to our continuing friendship, and maybe someday we will have careers in the same building somewhere. Congratulations, at the same time, farewell to you Talia, you truly left a positive trail. Thank you for all you have done!
