Podcasting? Come to the CSL and make your own

In the past, students have done a variety of podcasts for the Center for Service Learning. They range from interviews with speakers that visited Northwest Indian College to something as different as storytelling.

What is a podcast you ask? A podcast is similar to a pre-recorded radio show. You have the opportunity to record your voice, whether it be a story or an interview, and then publish it to the internet for others to enjoy. The Center for Service Learning has been engaging in podcasting as a way to preserve knowledge and as a way to get the younger generation involved into collection and further preservation of traditional knowledge in the form of storytelling.

The actual making of a podcast is actually quite easy. All you need is a computer. a microphone. and an internet connection. Once the podcast is recorded and edited it can be uploaded to iTunes where anyone can hear it!

We encourage you to go to iTunes yourself and see some of the Centers past podcasts. Its easy! Open your iTunes and access the iTunes store. Click on the podcast option and search for Northwest Indian College Center for Service Learning.

Once you have heard what has been done in the past come up with an idea of your own! Think of something new and fresh that you would like to share! Once you have a good idea come down to the Center for Service Learning and we will help point you in the right direction!
