{"id":25,"date":"2008-07-02T13:04:19","date_gmt":"2008-07-02T20:04:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nwicnet.nwic.edu\/blogs\/elearning\/2008\/07\/02\/visualize-your-course-content\/"},"modified":"2008-07-02T13:04:19","modified_gmt":"2008-07-02T20:04:19","slug":"visualize-your-course-content","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.nwic.edu\/elearning\/2008\/07\/02\/visualize-your-course-content\/","title":{"rendered":"Visualize Your Course Content"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been playing around with <a href=\"http:\/\/wordle.net\/\">Wordle<\/a>, a tag cloud creator, that takes any text or web page that you give it and makes a visual representation of the words.\u00a0 The more often a word appears, the larger it&#8217;s size will be.\u00a0 I was thinking that this could be a fun way to graphically represent some of the big concepts in a class.\u00a0 For example, in the image below, I pasted the text from the Wikipedia entry on &#8220;sociology&#8221; into Wordle and this is what it produced.\u00a0 This would be a great graphic to use as a lead in to a class or a specific lesson.
