Learning Online @ NWICHelp for using Moodle in your class

The message feature allows you to send Instant Messages to other participants in the class.  You are also able to see who is online at the same time as you so you can message each other.

Messaging Someone Who is Online

To message someone who is online, simply look at the Online Users block and see who is online.  To someone an instant message, click on the envelope next to their name to bring up the message screen.

Then, type the message you want to send them in the message window.

Sending a message to someone not online

You can also send a message to someone who is not online.  To do that, click on the participants link in the people block.

This will give you a list of all of the people in the class.

If you click on the name of a person, it will take you to their profile.  Once you are on their profile, simply click on the send message button to send them a message.
